John Kenneth Lucas

John Kenneth Lucas of Calera, AL, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 75, on Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born in Bessemer, AL on August 29, 1950, to his parents Hubert Leon Lucas and Louise Appleberry Lucas, both have preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his brother, Leon Lucas.

John is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Linda Lucas; sons, Brian Lucas (Sherry), Kenneth Jacobs, Larry Jacobs (Stephanie), and Scott Brewster; grandchildren, Walter Jacobs (Crystal), Adrian Bailey (Jordan) and Skylar Lucas; great grandchildren, Dawson Bailey, Kason Bailey and Robin Jacobs.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Providence Baptist Church. A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a service at 12 noon. John will be laid to rest in the Montevallo City Cemetery. Pastor Allen Foster will be officiating. Services entrusted to Charter Funeral Home
