Fred Eddy

Fred Eddy age 84 passed away from this earth, December 23, 2022. Originally from West Virginia, he was known to family and friends as Eugene, served in the Army during peacetime post-WWII stationed in Germany. After returning home, he met the love of his life Regina. Together they had three children. In West Virginia he began his lifelong career with CIT Finance ultimately becoming a corporate vice president. His career relocated him early on to Cleveland, Tennessee where he was involved in the Jaycee’s, Saint Therese Catholic church as the sponsor of the CYO and member of the Knights of Columbus. His career also took him to Birmingham, Alabama and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After retirement, Fred and Regina returned to Birmingham to be near their grown children. They loved to dance together. They were members of local chapters of the Parrot heads and Magic City Boppers. During retirement they took many cruises, held backyard pool parties, attended themed dance club events, and enjoyed family and friends. Fred Eugene died a very rich man, rich in love from family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Regina Eddy and three children Darla Spinosi (Tim), David Eddy, and Dawn Wenning (Joe), brother Bob Eddy (Rosemarie), five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic church Thursday December 29th.
