Douglas “Lamar” White

Douglas “Lamar” White, age 63, passed away on Monday, August 18,2025. He was born on May 19,1962, in Alabaster, AL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Gertrude White, and his grandparents, JC and Mary Kate Allen.  

Lamar is survived by his brothers, Hugh Gary White (Patsy) and James Cary White (Wanda) both of Montevallo, AL; grandchildren, Sadie, Courtney, and Austin; nieces, Ashley Graham, Katie White, and Brianna Seals (Cody) and nephew, Sgt. Jesse White (Amy) all of Montevallo; great nephew, Blaine; great nieces, Lillian, Caroline, KayLeeAnn, and Ellie.

Lamar was a former volunteer firefighter and an EMT. He was also a concrete finisher.

Visitation will be held at Underwood Baptist Church starting at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge, AL. Brother Todd Burr will be officiating.

    Lamar had a lot more of stories to share and I enjoyed the times I was able talk with him and swap tales about events in our lives. He has left us too soon. We have the family in our prayers.
