Carolyn Ann Palmer Ledford

Carolyn Ann Palmer Ledford began her earthly journey on April 22, 1946, born to Windel and Allie Palmer. She Married Clyde Monroe Ledford Jr. on December 20th, 1962. They were blessed with five children: Teresa, Darrin, Tracy, Buddy (Windel) and Beaver (William).
Carolyn trusted Jesus as her Savior, believing that “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but will have eternal life.” (John 3:16) She knew that by grace she was saved through faith, not of herself, but the gift of God — not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Throughout her earthly journey she knew Jesus as her Savior, her Protector and Faithful Provider. She lived her life according to His will and for His glory.
In June of 1973, Carolyn was widowed. She lived day by day through the strength of the Lord, testifying of His Grace and Faithfulness in her life.
Carolyn was actively involved in the church, local Bible camps, and her community. She was devoted to the Lord Jesus and to her family. She supported her children in all their endeavors, encouraging them to follow their dreams and develop their talents.
As her earthly journey continued, she pursued her own dream and earned a nursing degree. The Lord used Carolyn to minister to the residents at Briarcliff Nursing Home and Shelby Ridge. She was a beloved and compassionate caregiver.
As the years passed, she lovingly welcomed the spouses of her children to the family. She rejoiced at the births of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, considering each one a treasured gift from God. As a believer in Jesus Christ, she journeyed through the world loving others and being loved by others, serving and giving to those around her, shining bright for the glory of God.
Carolyn’s earthly journey ended on May 5th, 2025, at the age of 79. While we grieve, it is not without the hope the Lord gives us through His Word, declaring that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Her visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home. Carolyn’s service will be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to her services. Burial will follow in Brasher/Deer Hurst Cemetery.
So glad I got to see her last year. She was so sweet, and she will be missed by all the family!
I always felt like family with Carolyn 💕She was one of those women in our church I always admired. She raised her family with the calm spirit in the admonition of the her Lord. So many great memories and yet the Best is to come because of our great Hope the Lord has blessed His children with…. May all of us continue that call ourselves “Christ followers “ until Jesus comes ❤️🙌
I am 🙏🏻for you all💕
