Jill Oliver Porteous

October 30, 1956 – April 24, 2026

Jill Oliver Porteous, 69, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 30, 1956, in Fairfield, Alabama.

Jill was a devoted wife, mother, and cherished “Nana.” Her love for her family was the center of her life, and she will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, and the warmth she brought to everyone she met. She was retired from Creek View Elementary, where she touched the lives of many students and colleagues. A proud Auburn Tigers fan, Jill could often be found cheering them on with unwavering enthusiasm and spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Peggy Oliver, and her brothers, Bart and Bret Oliver.

She is survived by her loving husband, Howard; her son, Nick; her daughters, Marie and Renae; and her beloved grandchildren, Alexa, Brenton, Colton, Collins, Connor, and Anthony. She is also fondly remembered by extended family and many dear friends whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 8245 County Road 10, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.
