My memories will never die of the love they shared! I know Eddie, Cordette, and my dad, Henry are in a special place in heaven laughing and being merry..

Thank you so much, Cordette. God works in mysterious ways. She loved telling the story of how her name came about and then you came along. She would comment on how pretty you are and that name suited you fine. So, take care of your name, it’s a wonderful one to have.
      ❤️

Cordette was a kind and generous soul who always put the needs of others above her own needs and personal safety. I first witnessed this when she was visiting Susan and me in New York and spotted a homeless man in the subway and, much to our dismay, she went to witness to this man and gave him some money.
I remember much later hearing about her delivering Meals on Wheels in a bad section of Birmingham and being stopped by a police officer who informed her she could not go in because of an active crime scene.
She explained that she had to because she was with Meals on Wheels. After not convincing the officer that that took priority she circled around and found a back way in. The recipient finally emerged from her hiding place and unlocked her door after the repeated calls of Meals on Wheels from her porch.
I am honored and privileged to have known Cordette and my thoughts and prayers go out to all her family and friends.

Yes, Cordette will be missed. A long time friend. Met Cordette & Eddie at Mt. Brook Baptist Church. We were in the same SS Class. Also played bridge (not with her) I was not in her class, she was a GOOD player. We had lot of good memories.
