Sherria Guthrie

Sherria Guthrie, age 82, of Sterrett, Alabama, passed away after a brief illness on January 9, 2026. She was born on October 14, 1943, to the late Burlin McManus and Sybil Weldon McManus of Chelsea, Alabama.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Guthrie, Theresa Moore (sister), Becky Frangopoolos (sister), and Weldon (Worm) McManus.

Sherria is survived by her son, Stephen Guthrie and his wife, Regina, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one grandson, Ethan Guthrie of Willisburg, Kentucky; and one brother, Burlin “Junior” McManus of Childersburg, Alabama.

Sherria was devoted to her faith and her family. She loved the Lord and valued time spent with those closest to her.

Services will be held at New Life Church on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Richard Moore, brother-in-law.

Interment will take place at Union Community Church Cemetery, located at 4321 County Road 32, Chelsea, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sherria’s honor to the New Life Church Youth Program.
