Rev. Clyde R. Beam

Rev. Clyde R. Beam, age 92, of Calera went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at his home. Mr. Beam served his Lord and Savior above all with his ministry work for many years. He was a US Army veteran serving in Korea, and retired from US Steel.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Noette S. Beam; son, Randy Beam; great-grandson, Gavin Dane Beam.

He is survived by his daughters, Jalon Lucas of Montevallo, Donielle Cleckley (DeWayne) of Clanton, and Tanya Peel (Allen) of Helena; daughter-in-law, Patti Beam of Jemison; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. His visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Jemison First Baptist Church from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.  A Graveside service to follow in Midway Memorial Cemetery adjoining the church. Family has requested that donations be made to these charities in lieu of flowers: Heart Association, Autism awareness, St. Jude Research Hospital, or charity of your choice.
