Peggy H. Whitworth
Peggy H. Whitworth, 93, Montevallo, AL passed away October 24, 2025. She attended Riverchase United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and loved her fur babies. Peggy was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William A. Whitworth, Jr. Peggy is survived by her son, William A. (Tena) Whitworth, III; brothers, Edwin Harrell (Marion), and Joseph Harrell (Betty); sister, Jane Alexander (Lawrence).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home in Calera, AL. Her graveside service will follow at 1:15 p.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery Montevallo, AL. Rev. Allen Foster will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers family request donations to be made in honor of her to a charity of your choice.
She was loved and will be missed.
Oh Bill, I’m so very sorry to hear about Aunt Peggy. We had tried to call her at different times and was wondering how she was doing, but had hopes that she was busy and would call back. But Aunt Peggy had been on our hearts recently. We had tried to retrieve your number just last week to check on her. She was so much fun to be around and we always love our visits with she and Uncle Buddy. Christmas was always a fun time with yall and boy could she wrap a gift. I always headed to open the gift because it would mess up the beautiful wrapping. I loved talking to her about her flower beds and all of the different varieties of flowers. Billie Ruth loved the flowers that she shared with her too. She truly was a Master gardener. We think of yall often and we will be praying for you and Tina and hope to hear from you soon.
