Oliver Turner Elam, Jr.

Oliver Turner Elam Jr., age 80, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the comfort of his own home and surrounded by loved ones. He spent 30 years of military service, lastly at the Alabama National Guard as a unit clerk then went on to retire from Burks Mechanical.

Oliver is preceded in death by is parent s Oliver T. Elam Sr. and Eileen Elam; daughter, Dana Elam; and brother, Big David Elam.

He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Elam; children, Joey Elam (Che’) Tina Crumpler, David Elam, Jamie Elam; brother, Morgan Elam (Glenda) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Brent Methodist Church in Brent, AL beginning at 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Oliver will be laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Centreville, AL. Brother Jim Lavender will be officiating.
