Olga Borghello Walden
Olga Borghello Walden, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Bacau, Romania on November 4, 1935. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arturo Borghello and Stella Vaccher, and by her loving husband, Landis “Lee” Walden. Olga is survived by her daughter, Norina and her husband Don; son, Brian and his wife Jessica; grandchildren, Kathryn, Emily and her husband Seth, and Margaret; great grandson, Zachariah; sister, Giuseppina; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins in Italy.
Olga was a member of St. Thomas Catholic church in Montevallo, Al for over 10 years. She enjoyed listening to music, and she adored her cat, Sasha. Olga was a strong and protective mother and a loving grandmother.
Services for Olga will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, in the Charter Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held at 10 am followed by a service at 11 am. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the Alabama National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
We adored our Aunt Olga and have many happy memories of her. We send all our love to cousins Norina, Don, Brian and Jessi and their families. You’re all in our prayers.
