George Foster Nicholson, III

George Foster Nicholson III, age 80, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, October 19, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Mobile, AL on November 30, 1943, to his parents, George F. Nicholson II and Margaret L. Nicholson, both have preceded him in death. George is survived by his loving wife, Peggy S. Nicholson; children, Beth Nicholson (Paul), Jason Nicholson (Mandy), and Suzy Braden (Darrin); and grandchildren, Nick Braden, Avery Sample, Rowan Sample, Gilly Nicholson, and Kris Nicholson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo, Al. A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. George will be laid to rest with honors at the Alabama National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m.
