George Isaac Stoffel

George Isaac Stoffel, 88, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on February 2, 2016 with his family by his side.George was the second of two children of parents, Eugene and Margaret Stoffel of Bristol, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Stoffel. George served in the Navy and was stationed in Florida. After his service, George attended North Carolina State University where he received a degree inelectrical engineering.After college, George worked for Douglas Aircraft in Los Angeles, CA.and retired after 40 years. He then moved to Birmingham, AL in 2000. George is survived by his wife, Polly Stoffel, his sister Virginia Baxter of Atlanta, GA and a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 13^th, 2016, from 1:00pm to 3:00pmatPolly &George’s home, 1166 Berwick Drive, Birmingham, ALto honor George’s life.
