Elizabeth “Blake” Menke, age 33, of Helena, AL, entered her eternal home on Monday, June 12th, 2023. She attended Helena Elementary, Riverchase Middle School and graduated from Pelham High School where she was a beloved member of the Colorguard in the Pelham Marching Band. She went on to attend Auburn University, was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Public Relations and then worked for Aflac. She loved Auburn and lived there until 2016 when she experienced a heart attack and moved back home to be closer to family. After returning to Helena, she worked at Helena Beef O’Brady’s as the General Manager and mSpark as a National Customer Experience Manager.
Blake was a very hard worker and excellent at problem solving whether at work or in life. She was an encourager, confidant and supporter but more importantly, she embodied what Jesus teaches: meet people where they are without judgement and above all else, love one another. Blake’s greatest joy was being an aunt to her precious nephew, Bennett Menke.
She is survived by her parents, Shawn and Beth Menke of Helena, AL, brother John (Caroline) Menke of Birmingham, AL, Grandmothers Greta Menke of Hendersonville, TN, Patricia Bagley of Hoover, AL and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023, at The Church at Cahaba Bend, Helena, AL. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am and Celebration of Life from 11am to 12pm. Services entrusted to Charter Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
