Linda Fay Barrett, age 68, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. She was born on September 27, 1955, to her parents, Jewel Cates and Floyd Wilcox Sr. Linda was the owner of Linda’s Florist in Calera, AL for over 42 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Garry Barrett; fathers, Floyd Wilcox Sr., and John Cates; and brother, Floyd Wilcox Jr. Linda is survived by her mother, Jewel Cates; siblings, Tommy Wilcox (B. Wilcox), Darlene Littleton (Joey Littleton), and Tiger Wilcox (Teresa Wilcox); 7 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Services will be held in the Charter Funeral Home Chapel, a visitation will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 6 pm to 8 pm. A service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, beginning at 1 pm. Linda will be laid to rest privately with her family in Salem Cemetery in Calera, AL. Jack Jones will be officiating.
