Anna Katrine Yarbrough

Anna Katrine Yarbrough passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side on April 26, in Alabaster, AL at the age of 49, after a battle with cancer. Anna is survived by her parents, Beckie Seal Gliko of Belt, MT and David Bartelt of Milwaukee, WI; husband, Ricky Yarbrough; daughters, Isabel and Reese Yarbrough; brothers, Ben Bartelt of Byron, IL and Daniel Bartelt of Baltimore, MD. Anna was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 11, 1974. She studied at Illinois State University before serving in the Army from 1997 to 2001. Anna graduated with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Montevallo in 2008. She has spent the last 5+ years as a substitute teacher. Her care for her students went beyond education. “I love you and the girls and all of our family and friends so much. Please make sure everyone knows this beyond a shadow of a doubt. Also, please make sure they know Jesus loves them so much He died for them!”

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 9,2024, at Amazing Grace Church at 11 am. Anna will be laid to rest with Honors in the Alabama National Cemetery at 2 pm.
