Deborah Flanders
Deborah Flanders, , age 66, of Foley, AL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at University of Alabama Palliative Care Unit, Birmingham, AL. Deborah Jean Miller was born May 10, 1950 in Breckenridge, MN to Milton and Mabel (Tischer) Miller. She grew up and attended schools in Wahpeton and Hankinson, graduating from Hankinson in 1968. After graduation Debbie married John Wipperman. she then attended Normandale Community Adult Education. Debbie was employed as an educational assistant in Bloomingdale, MN and was also employed as a mocrofilm technician wit Anacomp Corporation. In 1987 she married Lou Flanders residing in Bloomington, MN until moving to Pelham, AL. In 1989, she started to work with Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. She was named Employee of the Year in 1995 and was promoted to Merchandising Assistant. They retired to Foley, AL where they enjoyed many wonderful times at the Gulf. Deborah was survived by her mother, Mabel (Gordon) Schmitz, Casselton, ND; two sons, John (Missy) Wipperman of Alabaster, AL and Jason (Sheila) Wipperman of Chelsea, AL; 5 step children; 10 grandchildren ; 3 sisters, Deloris Differding of Thornton, CO, Diane (Eugene) Johnson of Noonan, ND and Dorine Green of Breckenridge, MN; finance’, Jim McAdams of Foley, AL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Miller; husband, Lou Flanders and 2 brothers-in-law, Peter Differdiing and David Green. A Celebration of Deborah’s Life will be 3 p.m., Sunday, July 10, 2016

My dear sweet aunt and godmother will be deeply missed. For those that knew her knew what an angle she was here on earth now we can take comfort that she is now an angle looking over us and guiding us. She will be forever loved and never forgotten
