Chester J. Puckett

Chester J. Puckett, , age 90, of Pelham, AL, he graduated to Heaven Monday, May 8, 2017.  He  proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the World War II in the Occupation of  Japan. Chester was a sweet soul with a humble heart but most of all was  a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Willodean Puckett, son, Paul Puckett; step-son,  Dale Winfrey and brother, Ed Puckett.  His survivors include his wife of 16 years, Velma Puckett; children, Paulette Nunnally (Kerry) and Paula Smith; step-children, Danny Winfrey (Joy), Teresa Lynne Taylor (Chris) and  Davey Winfrey (Lucretta); twin brother, Lester Puckett; grandchildren, Chuck Willie Hatcher, Ruth Ann Speigner, Jennifer Everidge (Kevin), Jacob Smith (Katie ) Kendra, Katie and Misty Winfrey, Matthew Winfrey (Kristin)  and Tiffany White (Trey) and a host of great grandchildren.  A vistiation will be 11-12:30pm, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:30pm, both at Charter Funeral Home.
