Betty J. Smith, of Alabaster, AL passed away in the comfort of her own home at the age of 73 on Friday, April 25, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 30, 1951, to her parents, Reese and Velma Easterling, both have proceeded her in passing.
Betty was a loving mom, meme, wife and sister & friend. She was a Caregiver to all, she loved to cook for everyone that was her way of showing love. She will be truly missed by so many.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Smith; daughter, Pamm Hughes (Mark); son, Chris Smith (Robin); sister, Phyllis Swinney; grandchildren, Tyler Nicholas (Adelia), Dallas Smith, Graci Smith, Autumn Burch, and Hunter Gassaway (Liz); great grandchildren, Dakota Smitherman, Jayden Black, Ty Nicholas Jr., Serenity Edwards, Eli Nicholas, Memphis & Marley Smith and Liam Smith; Great Niece, Braven Minor; and numerous other friends and family. The list is long. So many loved meme.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025. A visitation will be held at 1 pm followed by a service at 2 pm
Praying for the family!! Ms Betty is a beautiful Angel inside and out!! She loved the Lord and her family and friends with all her heart ❤️ !! She will be Greatly missed but will never be forgotten she was a roll model to me she tought me so much!! Loved to cook she made everyone a birthday cake such a great person with a very big heart ❤️ love you my friend until we meet again ❤️
Love you Miss Betty.I will miss seeing you at yards sales.The last time I saw you you ask me to pray for you.I never imagine one year later you would be in heaven.. you were loved by everybody and had many friends I’ll never forget you Miss Betty rest in peace.
You never saw Ms Betty without that smile!! She greeted everyone with a big smile. One of the sweetest women I’ve known, so giving and loving.
