Benny Blake Hicks

Benny Blake Hicks, May 14, 1940-July 9, 2015 Loving husband, father, grandfather “Pop”, and great-grandfather. He served three and one half years in the US Marine Corps, and was a graduate of the University of Alabama. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Daniel Alan Hicks; his parents, Lester and Juliette Blake Hicks and brother, Roland Hicks, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda England Hicks; one son, Russell Blake Hicks (Cheryl); two daughters, Susan Hicks Campis and Julie Hicks McCullough; one brother, Pete Hicks (Nancy); one sister, Peggy Casey; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hicks; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Charter Funeral Home, 2521 US Hwy 31, Calera, Alabama. Memorial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
