Bart Edward Ferguson

Bart Edward Ferguson, age 52, of Alabaster, AL passed away in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, September 27, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 5, 1972, to his parents Bruce Edward and Gaynell Ferguson. Bart was a facility technician for AT&T for almost 25 years. He is a proud veteran and served 10 years in the United States Navy. Bart enjoyed watching Alabama football, hunting and fishing, and he was known to be a grill master. He was a handyman and a very “Do it yourself (DIY) person” watching YouTube videos. Bart never met a stranger; he was known as a gentle giant and enjoyed life. Above all Bart loved his spending time with his family and will always be remembered as a loving husband, daddy, grandpa, brother, son, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Edward Ferguson.
Bart is survived by his loving wife (who he met on a blind date in 2012), Heather Rylee Ferguson; children, Kelsey Ferguson Barber (Michael), Chandler Edward Ferguson, Sydney Paige Ferguson (Ethan Brown), Brett Andrew Long (Brittany), and Abigail Elizabeth McCulloch; grandchildren, Ellery Barber, Peyton Barber, Carter Long, and Emma Long; mother, Gaynell Ferguson; sister, Rebecca Ferguson; and his fur babies, Nemo and Bear.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Charter Funeral Home. A visitation will begin at 3 p.m. followed by a service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Cancer Society in Bart’s name.
