Frankie Maria Jones Johnson
Frankie Maria Jones Johnson of Columbiana, AL went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born in Texas on September 24, 1946, to her parents, Frank and Ida Louise Jones, both have preceded her in death. Frankie is also preceded by her brothers, Verl, Johnny, and Percel Jones; and sister-in-law, Teresa Diana Johnson Wilson (Tommy).
Frankie is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Namon Willie Johnson Jr.; daughters, Rachel Espey and her daughter, Desirae Fomby, and Jordan Rae Espey; grandchildren, Xavian Glover, Raelynn Glover, Sierra Whiting Jackson, Landen Smith, Grayson Smith, and Konner Norwood; great granddaughter, Nalani Jackson ; sister, Annie Jewel Jones; daughter-in-law, Aricka Walker; brothers-in-law, Larry Johnson and Jeffery Johnson; sister-in-law, Frances Johnson King and a host of nieces and nephews.
Frankie loved to make a joyful noise, praising her Lord and Savior. She sang with many choirs and loved singing with her husband. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Frankie was greatly cherished and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, at Charter Funeral Home. A gathering will begin at 12 noon followed by a service that will begin at 1 p.m. Services entrusted to Charter Funeral Home.

I am so sorry for your loss. I pray God puts his arms around you and strengthens you all through this difficult time. Even though it hurts that she is gone she is rejoicing in the presence of God and her family that has gone on before. Even though I never got to meet her in this life the love that she has for her family was enough to see what a great woman she is. My heart and my prayers are with you.
