Renee Lowe Kemp
Renee Lowe Kemp, born August 31, 1961 in Orlando FL, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2024, leaving behind her husband Karl, of 36 years. She is survived by a daughter, Karima, of San Antonio TX.; a son, Cameron (Courtney) of Montevallo, AL; mother-in-law, LeGaria Kemp of Lilburn, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Candy Rogers of Tucker, GA; nephew, Hunter Rogers (Ashley) of Johns Creek, GA; sister, Robin Broome (Brian) of Calera, AL and their children Asher, Sophie Mae, and Joshua of Dallas, GA; niece, Kimmy Broome of Calera, AL; additional relatives is Texas and Nebraska.
Renee was an active member of The Church at Shelby Crossing and was involved in several church functions, her favorite being working in the nursery and participating in small group ministry. She was an enthusiastic and prolific crafter and depending on the season or the reason, would produce personalized artistic creations, which made each recipient feel special. She loved to travel with her husband and enjoy a broad range of opportunities, from camping to ocean cruising and mission trips.
Through her life, Renee wore many hats including that of a Christian music soloist, directing various area of children’s ministries, homeschool mom, senior caregiver, and according to those closest to her, she was “the best friend ever.”
Private Visitation held on Friday, August 30, 2024. Renee’s celebration of Life Service to be held at the Church at Shelby Crossings on George Roy Parkway at 1pm, Wednesday September 4th, with a gathering of friends and family immediately following at church.
