Randall “Randy” Franklin

Randall “Randy” Franklin, age 53 of Montevallo, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 21, 2024, after a longtime battle with Crohn’s Disease. He was a plumber by trade and worked for Salser Plumbing for 10 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Buddy Franklin, grandparent Genora “Jackie” Enfinger, Carlos and Kathleen Franklin, Ocie and Maudie Lightsey.

He is survived by his mother, Sarah Mims, son Andrew Silas, granddaughter Luna, sisters Rachel Mims, Tansy Russell and Kelly White, brothers Kevin Mims and Christopher Franklin, stepmom Mary Franklin. A special uncle, Darrell “T-Bone” Enfinger. He is also survived by 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 4 grand nieces, 2 grand nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Randy chose to be cremated early in life and his wishes were granted. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family wants to send a special “Thank you” to the staff at Grandview Medical Center, specifically the MICU nurses and the staff at Oasis Hospice.
