Joan Marie Nicholas

Joan Marie Nicholas, age 71, of Clanton, AL, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015. She was predeceased by parents, Harry and Grace Janikowski; sister, Catherine Kroll and brother, Donny Janikowski. Joan was a volunteer with Gentiva Hospice and volunteered to visit residents at Hatley Nursing Home. She was a member of the Pink Ladies and a member of “The Group”. Her survivors include her daughter, JoAnn Dunn; sons, Frank Janikowski (Mary D.), William Gene “Nicky” Nicholas, Keith Allen Nicholas (Teresa), Carl Edmund Nicholas, Jr. (Lisa Gail) and Craig Steven Nicholas; sisters, Peggy Lampshire and Audrey Kroll (Howard); brothers, Harold Janikowski (Scooter), Harry Janikowski, Conrad Janikowski (Sue) and Norman Janikowski; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, a host of other family members and all her “Groups”. A visitation will be 12 – 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 with a Memorial Service to follow at 1 p.m., both at Charter Funeral Home.
