Robert Farris DeWerff of Calera, AL, passed away at the age of 65,in the comfort of his own home Wednesday, September 2, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. He went to Madison High school in Nashville, TN. and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from TSU. He then worked in many hospitals as an RRT.
Robert enjoyed hiking in the Smoky Mountains, watching sports, and traveling; especially cruising. He never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. Robert was able to see the good in everyone. Above all Robert’s family was the most important thing to him. His children and granddaughters were the joy in his life, and he would tell everyone about them any chance he got.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Pamala DeWerff, children, Zachary DeWerrf, Adrienne Moul (Ryan) and Michael DeWerff (Sonia); grandchildren, Aislin Moul, Makayla DeWerff, Zoe Moul, Ellie Moul and Lily Moul; brother Scott DeWerff (Jayne); nieces and nephews, Sydney DeWerff, Aubrey Kramer (Beth) and Ryan DeWerff; great niece and nephew, Jailyn DeWerff and Rylee DeWerff; and loving pets, Davi, Mak and Commit.
He is preceded by his parents Dale and Alice DeWerff; and brothers Edward and David DeWerff.
A Memorial Cruise with burial at sea will be held from December 19 to December 26, 2026. In Lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society on Robert’s behalf.
