Alfred (Al) Ray Weber

Alfred (Al) Ray Weber, age 85, died peacefully in Prattville, Alabama August 1, 2026. He was born November 25, 1940 in Evansville, Indiana, the first child of Frank and Betrice Weber. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Weber, and sisters Eileen and Colleen Weber.
He spent his career as an engineer and the project he was most proud of was the testing and design of the automotive airbag. His retirement years were spent in the business of cabinet design. In addition, he assisted Marianne with her many writing and research projects. He was a man with a positive spirit and humor which he richly shared.
Some of his happiest times were spent with his grandchildren playing games and riding on his boat in Ft. Walton and Destin, Florida. He enjoyed being in nature observing animals, particularly birds, squirrels, and dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne, two sons Kenneth Weber (Lynn) of Livonia, Michigan, and their two children Alex and Spencer, along with son Richard Weber (Sheila) of Canton, Michigan, and their four children Kayla (James Bell), Nick, Haylee (Kyle Masteller) and great grandson Jonah, and Josh (Lauryn). They will all miss him greatly.
A private celebration of life is being planned by the family.
The family is grateful to Prattville Health and Rehab and Adoration Hospice for their care.
