Sharon Ann Nash Hammett

Sharon Ann Nash Hammett, 72, resided in Alabaster, AL. Sheri Passed away on May 25, after an aggressive Prion Disease. Sharon was born on the 22, September 1950 to Charles (deceased) and Geneva Nash

Funeral Services will be held at Charter Funeral Home on the 4, June at 12 P.M.

Sheri was born in Louisville, KY. To Charles Irvin Nash (deceased) Geneva Nash on September 22, 1950. She graduated from John Carroll High School. She has worked at Earnest McCarty Ford for the past 25 years, she loved her work family and always spoke very highly of them. Sheri was a very compassionate person who loved her friends with her whole heart. She enjoyed square dancing, bingo, the beach and going to eat at Cracker Barrel on Sunday afternoons. Sheri spent her free time with the birds of prey at Oak Mountain, she donated to the Humane Society, Fellow Christians and Jews of Alabama, Wildlife Society. Sheri is survived by her sister Krista, brother in Christ Mark Lilla, niece (more like a granddaughter) Mary and Brother Josh.

We want to give a special thank you to her care team and the nurses at Shelby Hospital, Thank you to Dr. Barr for his relentless testing. Also a big thank you to the Hospice team.

    I will certainly miss you greatly and there was so much more to your life than just the few words in your obituary. Kind, gentle, caring, loving are the first words that come to mind.

    Sherri, mom was so thankful for your friendship! I’m so glad u were able to come visit with her after her surgery. it meant a lot to us. we will forever be sad we never got to go to the lunches we had planned! we will donate to the shelby county humane society in your name, as we shared your love of animals. rest in peace sweet lady.
