Sandra Dianne Barrett

Sandra Dianne Barrett, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and nurturing that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Born to Joyce and JD Aldridge, Sandra grew into a beautiful, caring woman of warmth and wisdom. She was the loving wife of James Barrett for 58 years and the devoted mother of Denise Leddy, Hollie Barrett, Chad Barrett, and Brian Barrett. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she remained a constant source of support and guidance for them throughout her years.

Sandra was a woman of many talents who retired from a successful career at Lowe’s and a second career as a real estate broker. Sandra also found joy in the beauty of art, the serenity of her garden, and the simple pleasures of shopping. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her career and hobbies to her role as a devoted pet mom to many cats and dogs over the years, with a special place in her heart for her last pup, Major Phillip. He brought her great joy and misses her dearly. Sandra’s artistic and nurturing spirit was reflected in everything she touched, from her carefully tended flowers to the welcoming atmosphere of her home.

Sandra’s greatest gift was her ability to listen and offer wisdom and encouragement to her children, even as they grew into adulthood. Her unwavering support and gentle guidance were a constant source of comfort and strength for her family.

She will be deeply missed by her husband James, her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her. We were all so blessed to have had her in our lives. Sandra’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, creativity, and unconditional love.
