LCPL John William “Bill” Green Jr

LCPL John William “Bill” Green Jr, a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, passed away on 25 September 2023.

The son of Lori Farris and John William “Bill”Green Sr (deceased). “Billy” Green grew up in Pelham, AL. He was born 22 September 1979 in Alabaster, AL and attended Pelham High School.

At the age of eighteen, Billy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Lance Corporal. Serving as an Intelligence Specialist, he received the Army Achievement Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Rifle Expert Badge, and Pistol Sharp-Shooter Badge.

Billy Green is survived by Lori Farris (Mother) Ron Farris (Step-Father) Donnie Green (Uncle) Rae Green (Grandmother) Chris Monroe (Best Friend) alongside many other family and friends. At the time of his passing, he had great love and admiration doing what he loved, working alongside Breck Price at All State Insurance. Loved ones will always remember him by his contagious smile, always cracking jokes, never causing any trouble, his love for baseball cards, the Auburn Tigers, an abundance of knowledge, and the passion he had for his dog “Buddy”.

A Celebration of Life will be held, honoring the life of “Billy” Green, on 7 October 2023 at 11:00 at the Farris residence.
