It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Whitley announces his passing on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the age of 68 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline (Reid) Whitley and niece, Kathy Robison. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl (Ingram) Whitley; granddaughter, Elizabeth Riley Ingram; grandson, Tristan Ryan Daniels; sister, Linda Brown (John); brother, John Whitley, Jr. (Dawn); nieces, Janet Carlton (Mark), Kelly Young, Kasey Gregory (John), Nicole Whitley, Victoria Whitley; nephew, Zachary Whitley, Jr. (Monica); goddaughter, Jennifer San Juan (Paul); step-daughters, Paige Elizabeth Daniels (Stephen), Lily Amanda Ingram; and eight great-nephews and great-nieces. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, immediately followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Charter Funeral Home is directing.

    A true and dear friend for many years. Larry was a gifted craftsman who could do most anything with a piece of wood. Our partnership on and off the golf course will also be in my memories.
    Travel well my friend and rest in peace.
