Jean Amy Cooke Martin

Jean Amy Cooke Martin, age 87, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Thursday, June 8, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 15, 1936, in Amherst, Massachusetts, to parents Howard R. Cooke and Esther Williams Cooke, both preceded her in passing. She is survived by her son Christopher Martin and his wife Ginger; siblings Charles Cooke, Richard Cooke, George (Pete) Cooke, Mary Martin and Roy Cooke; five grandchildren: Hunter Cox, Ariana Parsons, Taylor Martin, Micaiah Parsons and Chandler Martin and five great grandchildren. Service will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, in the charter Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Jean will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Roy G. Martin in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Services entrusted to Charter Funeral Home.

    Jean was such a sweet person. I was always so thankful to her for sharing her love of reading with me. For years she would bring me bags full of books to read ever few months. I lost touch with her over the years. I will always have good memories of her.
    I offer my prayers to her family and friends.
