Allen Wayne Burnett

Allen Wayne Burnett, a longtime resident of Montevallo, AL, left our world to be with Jesus on July 5th 2024, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on June 23, 1955, in Dearborn, Michigan. He was 69 at the time of his death. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Gurtha Burnett, son Allen Wayne Burnett Jr. (big Al) and brother Randy Green Burnett. He leaves behind his daughter Ashley Massey, son Randy (Alyson) Burnett and their mother and life partner Brenda Burnett. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Jordan White, Jayden Massey, Jaxon Burnett, Easton Burnett, Anna Kate Massey, Carter Wilson and 1 great grandson Chino Young. Wayne served our country as a Marine during the Vietnam war era and served our Lord as he attended Amazing Grace Worship Center in Alabaster for many years. His hobbies included riding motorcycles when he was younger and getting behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer, which was his job for about 30 years. He loved his children and grandchildren with everything he had and was the best Grandaddy.

Services will be held at Aldrich First Baptist Church in Montevallo at 2pm on Wednesday July 10, 2024. A burial will follow at Cahaba Valley Cemetery in Brierfield, AL.
