Lindsey “Devon” Wideman

Lindsey “Devon” Wideman, age 61, went peacefully home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 5, 2026. Devon was a devoted man of God whose unwavering faith, warmth, and gentle spirit were a constant source of light to everyone around him. Above all else, he cherished his walk with the Lord, cherished his family deeply, and loved his son to the absolute fullest. He lived his life as a faithful husband, a loving father, and a true servant of Christ.
Devon is reunited in Heaven with his beloved Mother, Carolyn Faye and his brother, Travis E. Wideman.
His memory will be forever cherished by his wife of 35 years, Tina S. Wideman-Pickens; his beloved son, Ryan D. Wideman; his Father, Bobby Wideman; his brother, Jason Wideman; his sister, Anjela Gray (Greg); and his sister-in-law, Barbara Wideman. He also leaves behind his cherished parents-in-Christ, Cindy and Ricky Pickett and their family; his entire beloved church family at the Branch at Mission Hills; as well as a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whose lives he touched.
Devon’s life was a testament to God’s grace, love, and devotion. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds peace in knowing he rests safely in the presence of his heavenly Father.
Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later time and will be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations for funeral expenses. Those can be mailed to: 38 Hallman Drive, Sylacauga, AL 35150.
He was a great father and husband and had a new found love for the Lord that just warmed my heart. His son and I will miss him terribly. We love you and know you are now free of sickness and enjoying your days with the Lord. Till we see you again. Love you so much. Tina
Devon held a special place in my life, and I am deeply grateful for the years we spent together and the wonderful memories we shared. He was a great father to our son Ryan and husband to me. His presence will be missed by so many. Though our paths went in different directions, my respect and love for him never faded. He was a meaningful part of my life’s journey, and I will always cherish the good times and laughter we shared. May he rest in peaceful comfort, and may everyone find peace in his memory. We love you. Till we see you again. Tina
