Timothy Rush Ferrell

Timothy Rush Ferrell, 61-year-old of Maylene, Alabama, passed away on December 1, 2023, after a battle with heart disease.

Tim was born on June 11, 1962, to Tommy Rush Ferrell of Massilon, Ohio and Shayne Mewbourne of Helena, Alabama in Massilon, Ohio. Tim attended Massilon High School and went on to attend the University of Alabama Police Academy.

After graduating form the Police Academy, Tim starred his first job as a Reserve Officer at the Helena Police Department, kickstarting a 20-year career in law enforcement. He served in the cities of West, Blocton, Marion, Centreville, and retired in Helena, Alabama.

In 1993, Tim met Donna Lynne Ferrell in Bibb County. Tim and Donna were married July 24th and Donna went on to have one child, Hanna Elise Ferrell.

In 2007, Tim retired and spent his time fishing, training his services fog, Jebediah, traveling and camping with Donna.

Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, his stepfather, Wayne Mewbourne, and his brother, Ernie Ferrell. He is survived by his father, Tommy Ferrell; his mother, Shayne Mewbourne; his wife, Donna Ferrell; his daughter, Hannah Ferrell of Orlando, FL; his service dog Jebediah and numerous family members.
