Teresa “Leigh” Hopton-Jones

Teresa “Leigh” Hopton-Jones of Helena, AL passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Friday, January 16, 2026 at the age of 58. Leigh was born on October 11, 1967 to her parents, Randall and Gayle Partridge. She graduated from Pell City High School; where she was a cheerleader and was also crowned homecoming queen. Leigh graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham with a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She had career in Occupational Therapy for over 30 years. Leigh enjoyed watching Auburn Football and UAB Basketball. Above all she loved her family, especially her children.

Leigh is survived by her loving husband, Robert David Hopton- Jones; children, Robert Trent Hopton-Jones and Emily Claire Hopton-Jones; grandchildren Damontez Orran Holmes Jr. and Bruce Oran Holmes; father, Randall Partridge; and brother, Stacy Partridge. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gayle Partridge.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 30, 2026 at Charter Funeral Home. A service will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by a visitation from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. to gather and share loving memories of Leigh. In lieu of flowers please donate to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism in Leigh’s name.
