M E Averette, age 93, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Preceded in death by wife, Ruthie Willowdean Averette; parents, Marion and Lissie Averette; sister, Gladys Fondern; great-great granddaughter, Tyler Eidson.

M E is survived by son, Larry Averette; granddaughter, Christy Blankenship, great grandsons, Nick Eidson and Jalen Blankenship; great-great granddaughters, Lakelyn Eidson and Alivia Eidson; sisters, Marie Snodgrass (Gary) and Nellie Ballard.

  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., followed immediately by a funeral service, both in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Bailey’s Chapel Cemetery.
