Ricky D. Ellison

Ricky D. Ellison, age 59, of Calera, Al passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 14, 1965, to his parents, Councel Dalton and Patricia Shelton Ellison, both have preceded him in death. Ricky is also preceded by his grandparents, Councel Elwood and Louise Ellison, and Agnes and Sylis Shelton. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Teresa Ellison; sons, William Dalton Ellison and Dylon Matthew Ellison; sisters, Debra Ellison and Ann Porter; granddaughter, Blakley Ellison; and nephew, Bo Ellison.

A Celebration of life for Ricky will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Oliver Park in the covered venue at 1:00 pm. All friends and family are welcome. At the end of the Celebration, there will be a balloon release in his memory.

    We were so saddened to hear of Ricky’s passing. We met him at Bo’s wedding and at his father’s funeral. He was a kind man. Our prayers go out to the entire Ellison family. May you all have great peace knowing that he is in Paradise with our Lord and Savior.
