Donald was one of the small group of surviving American Legion Matthew Blount Post 555 Veterans of the Korean War. He will be missed by his family, and even though we never saw Donald at Post 555 in Pelham, he was an Honorary Member for as long as he was with us. He is now in a wonderful place.

I have known Don since the 1970’s as a Birmingham Police Officer. We worked out together and ran together Don was a good friend. I really got to know Don when he was Security Director at Century Plaza in Eastlake. Don never met a stranger he loved to work out and enjoyed sports. We had not talked in several years but I will always remember Don as a GREAT FRIEND and BUDDY.You will be missed my friend both by family and friends….
