Sarah Benita Mims

Sarah Benita Mims, age 72, passed away on December 20^th, 2024, after a yearlong battle with lung cancer. She was a loving, caring, generous person who was always there for family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Charter Funeral Home on Saturday January 4^th, 2025. Visitation with family will be at 11:30 am and the service at noon. Benita chose to be cremated, and her wishes were honored.

She is preceded in death by son, Randy Franklin, mom, Genora Enfinger, grandparents, Ocie and Maudie Lightsey.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Rachel Mims and Tansy Russell, son, Kevin Mims. Grandchildren, Sara Mims, Amber Guiditta, Jacob Lawley, Austin (Taylor) Mims, Timothy Mims, Ryan (Nikki) Mims and Andrew Silas. Great-grandchildren Madelyn Collum, Malakhi Guiditta, Aiyana Guiditta, Elijah Mims and Luna Silas. Sister Cindy Greer and brother Darrell “T-Bone” Enfinger. Her canine baby, Ringo.

Benita loved to read, work word search puzzles, watching her favorite TV shows and spend time with family.

Thank you to every doctor and nurse who cared for her over her lifetime. Special thanks to Aveanna Hospice for her care in the last week.
