Vernon Ray Sapp Jr

Vernon Ray Sapp Jr. Our Husband and Father, Vernon Ray Sapp Jr. passed away Monday, February 19, 2018. He is now at peace and pain free in the arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Ray was born December 7, 1952 in Grafton West Virginia to Mayme and Vernon Sapp (deceased). Ray is proceeded in death by his first wife Val, brother George (Jake Sapp). Ray is survived by his wife Cindy, children Andy, Jimmy, and Courtney. Brother and Sister in-law Russ and Ruth Killinger (Ryan). Along with many nieces, nephews, and those that viewed Ray as father and role model.  Ray touched the lives of many, being part of a large life-long extended family. Ray had and we have today a great church family who have been very supportive to our family for many years. For over 15 years Ray served as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and his true passion as a nursery volunteer.  A celebration of life will take place at Alabaster FUMC, 10903 Hwy 119, Alabaster, AL 35007Thursday February 22. It is there that we will receive family and friends at 2pm, his memorial service will follow. He will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Grace Fund at  Alabaster FUMC.
