 Velma Ruth Youngblood, age 73, of Talladega, AL, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Ruth was a member of  Concord Methodist Church and Shiloh Methodist Church in Talladega, AL . She is predeceased by her parents, William and  Odell Spence; brothers John Spence and Troy Spence and brother-in-law, Paul Clem. Her survivors include her husband of 56 years, David E. Youngblood; daughter, Missy Youngblood; son, Mike Youngblood; sisters, Martha Slocumb (Don), Olivia Rouse (Leonard) and Evelyn Clem; brothers, Larry Spence (Marilyn), Edwin Spence,
Oliver Spence and granddaughters, Kelsey Youngblood, Amber Youngblood and Baylee Youngblood. The Committal Service is 2:45 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2016 at Alabama National Cemetery.  A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m.,Saturday, October 1,  2016 at Concord Methodist Church, Talladega, AL.  Charter Funeral Home.

    Sorry to hear about the death of Ruth Spence Youngblood , a classmate of mine from first grade through high school. May God God comfort the family and get you through the hard times. Know you all will miss her as well as her classmates.
