Timothy Patrick Dollard

Timothy Patrick Dollard, passed away  July 23, 2016 at the age of 57.  He was a loving husband, grandfather and son who enjoyed making people laugh. Timothy was a native of Buffalo New York.  He joined the U. S. Army in 1977 and served 4 years.  He was stationed at Fort McClellan and upon his release attended JSU and received both his Bachelor and Master’s Degrees.  Tim was Director of Children’s Services for JBS Mental Health Authority.  He along with a partner started the Project FIND program at JBS in 1990. He was a dedicated employee for 26 years.  Tim was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo where he enjoyed being an Usher.  He was a member of the American Legion, Calera Elks Lodge and a charter member of the Pelham Harley Davidson Riders Club.  Tim was predeceased by his loving father, Richard Dollard, and step-daughter, Emily Giddens. His survivors include his wife, Trisha Dollard, her daughter, Casey Germek and the love of his life, his grandson, Burke Germek, all of Calera.  He is also survived by his loving mother, Barbara Dollard; sister, Kathy Tremblay; brother, Richard Dollard, all of Buffalo, NY.  A brother, Dennis Dollard (Diane) from Reisterstown MD and special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who adored him. He loved to travel, ride his Harley on Saturdays and he loved football and was devoted to the Buffalo Bills.  He will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to have known and loved him.  He touched many people’s lives.  Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27th from 6-8 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.  A Mass with Father Ray Dunmyer and Father Peter Tremblay will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 28th.  His interment with Honors will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28th at the Alabama National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Project FIND, JBS Children’s Services, 940 Montclair Road, Birmingham, AL  35213.

    My deepest condolences to the family, may you find comfort in prayer and the beautiful words of Isaiah 25:8 where God promises us that He will soon eliminate all death and suffering.
