The Lewis family will be praying for you all. It is not easy to deal with the death of a parent much less a second one in such a short time span. All of you have our most sincere condolences. I remember when Tami first moved across the road. She and Emily were the only Barrett family living out here and she was a bit worried about living down the old logger road. I gave her our phone number and told her to feel free to call on us anytime.
When Tami and Huey were in high school Huey had a crush on Tami. She agreed to go to prom or maybe another dance and during the course of that date Huey made his move. He went in for the kiss. Eyes closed , lips puckered. All of a sudden he heard a big clap of thunder and it made his face sting real bad. He said Tami had hauled off and slapped the holy you know what out of him. At least that’s the way I remember him telling it.
Life goes by so fast. When your a teenager it seems to be moving at a snails pace. Once you turn 20 all it takes is a quick year . Those quick years go by faster and faster the older you get. Life’s short, live it while your young and able to. With age comes health concerns. Then you are not able to enjoy it like you planned when you retire. No day is a guarantee. I’m here for all of you . You need? Let us know. Love you guys.

Tami, was my friend, even though years and life kept us from hanging around as much, in school we spent most weekends together, usually riding the roads in Calera or over at her sister Bonnies house. I will never forget the green Nova, we put so many miles on that car, and we got it stuck. Tami, Me and Debbie Cox spent every Friday and Saturday nite at the skating rink, the old one and the new one, for years we went to that rink. Even after all the years when we talked it was always heartfelt, with love and laughter, good memories Mr. Barrett would take Tami, Me and Debbie to the lake taught us how to ski just so many good times and laughter at the house with the beautiful rock front. Even though we didn’t talk like we once did, I will miss my friend. To Tami’s family, my thoughts and prayers are with you, I pray for peace and comfort.
