Richard Melvin Fletcher

Richard Melvin Fletcher, age 79, of Verbena, Al. passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Lennie Fletcher; son, Michael Fletcher. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Fletcher; sons, Richard Dwayne Fletcher (Carmen) & David Melvin Fletcher; daughter, Laura Lynn Thompson (Steven); sisters, Brenda Burdett (Doyle) & Judy Berryhill; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Services for Richard will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Glad Tidings Church of God. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow. A private burial will be held in The Alabama National Cemetery. Officiating service will be Mike Chandler and Billy Ray Boatwright.
