Ovis Rhodes, Sr

Ovis Rhodes, Sr. age 78 of Jemison, AL passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 with his family by his side.   Ovis was a retired truck driver of over 30 years.  He was generous to a fault, but most of all will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.  He was predeceased by his wife, Sue Ann Wagner Rhodes; daughter, Janice Fennell; son, Scottie Rhodes; parents, Bessie and Oley Rhodes; grandson, Timothy Rhodes; great granddaughter, Katelyn Wyatt; brother, Leo Rhodes; sister, Helen Walden; daughter-in-law, Gail Rhodes; sister-in-law, Billie Jo Rhodes and brother-in-law, Roy Walden.  His survivors include his children, Ovis Rhodes, Jr.  of Jemison, Polly Taylor (Ricky) of Jemison, AL, Peggy Thrash (Tony) of Jemison, AL and  Eva Sims (Lewis) of Boaz, AL; brother,  Jim Rhodes (Jane) of Prattville, AL;  sister, Geneva Broaddus (Charles) of Albertville; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
