Jerry Wayne Graves, Sr.

Jerry Wayne Graves, Sr., age 81, of Alabaster, AL, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL.   Jerry proudly served in the U. S, Marine Corp as a Corporal. He  was a Master Plumber and owned his own Plumbing Company.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alabaster where he served as a  Deacon.  He was predeceased by his first wife and children’s mother, Barbara Rhodes Graves and his second wife of 30 years, Mavis Graves; parents, Oscar and Mary Graves; brother, Billy Graves; sister, Frances Quinn and grandsons, Jason and Brian Pruitt.    His survivors include his daughters, Debbie Elliott- Sexton (Buddy), Patricia Graves Burkhard (Kenny) and Lou Lou Richardson (Beth); sons, Jerry Wayne Graves, Jr. (Patti), Patrick Graves and Michael LeWayne Graves; sister, Elaine Graves; brothers, Arthur Graves (Rosie), Marvin Graves and Frank Graves (Bonnie); grandchildren, Matthew Graves (Kaitlin), Brock Graves, Brent Graves, Bradley Pruitt (Brittany), Blake Pruitt (Diana), Ashley Carpenter (Todd), Brandon Foust, Brooke Grissom, Tyler Graves (Ruby), Stephanie Graves, Marie Sparks and Michaela Sparks and 12 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends, 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 with a Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
