Holland Ray “Paw Paw” Thompson

Holland Ray “Paw Paw” Thompson, age 65, of Cordova, AL, passed away at his Warrior River Home, Tuesday, February 7, 2017.  Ray grew up in Homewood, AL where he graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1969. He proudly  served his country  in the U. S. Marine Corps. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Neil and Elaine Thompson. His survivors include his wife of 32 years Gayle Thompson; children, Traci Thompson (Tony Jenkins) and Tina Tucker; grandchildren, Kyle and Kasey  Demeritt, and  Ty, Simon and   Mary-Holland “Pearl” Jenkins; brother, Rick Thompson (Kay); sister, Kay Bryant (Ronnie) and other family members. A visitation will be 10-11 a mFriday, February 10, 2017 with a Funeral Service to follow at Charter Funeral Home.  A Committal Service with Honors will follow at the Alabama National Cemetery.  Charter Funeral Home directing.
