Frances Anna “Ann” Honeycutt

huneycuttFrances Anna “Ann” Honeycutt,  age 82, of Calera, AL, (born in Shelby County, AL),  went home Wednesday, September 7, 2016.  Ann was a active member of St.Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.  She also volunteered for “Meals on Wheels”, but most of all was a full time wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her son, Donnie Ray Honeycutt;  parents, Basil Clark Gilmore, Sr.  and Catherine Gilmore Brown and great grandson, Lakelin Smith.  Her survivors include her husband of 62 years, Charles Donald Honeycutt; children, Betty Ann Honeycutt, Melton Allen Honeycutt (Jenny) and Wanda Whitfield (Louis); sisters, Cathy Adams (J.W.), Shara Wright (Jim) and Loretta Adams (Terrell); brother, Basil Clark Gilmore, Jr.  (Judy); grandchildren, April Manglaris (Chris),  Johnny Delawder, Jr., Dana Mitchell (David), Mandy DeSantis (Mike), Julie Whitfield, Angela Caputo (Joey), Ashley Whitfield, Loren Honeycutt and A.J. Honeycutt; great grandchildren, Dakota, Natalie, Cole, Payton,Trinity, Ashlyn, Shelby, Aaron and Chance and a host of other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, September 9, 2016,  6-8 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home.  Ann will lie in state 9-10 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016  at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10 a.m. at the Church.  Father Ray Dunmyer is officiating the service. The Committal Service will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Pea Ridge, AL   Charter Funeral Home is directing.

    A.J. , I am so sorry to hear that your grandmother has passed from this life here on earth but I am happy in knowing that she is now in her forever home with the Heavenly Father ! And to know that she is waiting for us to join her there!! Praying for you to find comfort in this even as your heart is broken because she is no longer with you in her earthly home.
