The Professional Choice For Funeral And Crematory Services

Charter Funeral Home and Crematory

Charter Funeral Home and Crematory is an 11,000 square foot facility residing on 5 and a half acres. It is located in the Saginaw Community halfway between Alabaster and Calera in Shelby County Alabama. We are convenient to Alabaster, Birmingham metropolitan area, Calera, Clanton, Columbiana, and Montevallo.

The facility was designed to conform to the beautiful and serene rural pastoral setting in which it is located.  The funeral home features a chapel which seats approximately 140 people, two large well decorated visitation parlors, a spacious lobby, a well-stocked casket display room and all the conveniences found in a new modern funeral home. The funeral home is well lit with plenty of windows and does not have a dark and depressing atmosphere. This was included in the design to provide an uplifting feeling to help replace the sense of loss by the family and guest that attend services at the facility. The comfort of the families and guest we serve is of utmost importance to us. We want people to feel welcome and at home while spending time in our funeral home. The emphasis in funeral home is on home.
